AltarFire is built on a simple principle — what you bring before God in prayer is between you and God. We are stewards of your data, not owners of it. We will never read your personal prayers, sell your data, or share it with advertisers.

We collect only what is necessary to make AltarFire work for you. This includes your name and email address when you create an account, your prayer session logs including time and duration but not content, your streak and progress data, your Bible prayer progress, and your device timezone for scheduling notifications.

We do not collect the content of your personal prayers, journal entries, sin battle logs, or heart check responses. These are stored on your device and optionally backed up to your private cloud storage. Only you can access them.

Your data is used solely to provide the AltarFire service — backing up your prayer life, syncing across your devices, sending you prayer reminders, and calculating your streak and progress. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond the AltarFire service itself.

Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally backed up to Firebase — Google's cloud platform — when you create an account. Firebase encrypts all data in transit and at rest. Security rules ensure that only you can read or write your own data. Not even the AltarFire developers can access your personal prayer records.

You have the right to access all data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate data, delete your account and all associated data at any time, and export your complete prayer history as a JSON file at any time from Settings.

Users in the European Union have additional rights under GDPR. Users in California have additional rights under CCPA. To exercise any of these rights contact us at [email protected]

AltarFire is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account.

AltarFire uses Firebase by Google for authentication and cloud storage. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase. AltarFire uses no advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data brokers. Your prayer life is not a product.

If you enable notifications, AltarFire sends prayer reminders, streak warnings, and milestone celebrations to your device. You can disable all notifications at any time from Settings. We do not use notifications for marketing or promotional purposes.

If we make significant changes to this policy we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. Continued use of AltarFire after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By using AltarFire you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are straightforward because AltarFire is built for the Kingdom, not for litigation.

AltarFire is a personal prayer life companion. It helps you track your prayer sessions, grow spiritually through gamification, connect with prayer partners, and pray through Scripture. It is a tool for your prayer life — the power comes from God, not from software.

You are responsible for your account and everything that happens through it. Use a strong password. Do not share your account. You must be 13 or older to use AltarFire. One person, one account.

Use AltarFire for prayer, spiritual growth, and genuine community. Do not use AltarFire to harass other users, post harmful content in prayer rooms, impersonate other people, attempt to access other users' data, or use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

Prayer Coins are earned through prayer and have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. Virtual items purchased or unlocked in the app are licensed to you for use within AltarFire only. We reserve the right to modify the virtual economy at any time.

Prayer requests and messages shared in prayer rooms are your responsibility. Keep all content appropriate for a Christian community context. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate community standards.

We aim to keep AltarFire available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss of data or interruption of service.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination your data is deleted within 30 days.
